SpaceX is preparing for a Falcon 9 rocket launch on Sunday, April 27, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The mission is scheduled to lift off at 10:09 p.m. Eastern Time, carrying a batch of 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.
Among the payload are 13 satellites equipped with direct-to-cell technology, which will enable smartphones to connect directly to satellites, bypassing the need for traditional ground-based cell towers.
This advancement marks a significant step in expanding mobile connectivity to remote and underserved areas.
In case of delays, SpaceX has backup launch windows available until 1:49 a.m. ET on Monday, April 28. Additional opportunities are slated to begin later that evening, starting at 9:51 p.m. ET.
Viewers can watch the launch live on SpaceX’s official website or via the X TV app, with coverage beginning approximately five minutes before liftoff
